we hereby announce this year’s student council elections for computer science which will take place from July 20th to July 24th.
The students’ representative council is a committee of students, which is elected on an annual basis. The council’s main task is the improvement of study conditions. This includes social events, e.g., our summer or christmas party, as well as a free student printer and old exams. Moreover, we represent the interests of the student body in different boards, e.g., faculty or examination boards.
If you are interested in keeping these events going and want to speak up for better study conditions, then present yourself as a candidate. All students enrolled in one of the following bachelor’s or master’s programs are electable and eligible: Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Media Informatics, Visual Computing, computer- and communication engineering – embedded systems.
If you want to run in the election, please sign up on the list provided in the students’ council room (E1.3 Room 109) until July 14th and contact us at email@example.com for more information. If you don’t want to run in the election, but still want to support us, you can help us running the election booths or counting votes. Of course, you can simply support us by voting too. A public discussion round for the new candidates will take place July 15th.
