Agenda
Council Elections
People can vote until tomorrow (2025-01-31)
Manu made scrap paper posters with QR-Codes so people can vote
He also wants us to ask people to vote, we are NOT allowed to give them treats.
Breakfast
We have another breakfast tomorrow.
We will not have lunch, pudding or real plates.
It's Yagmur's first breakfast in charge.
Lukas is helping her.
We will hang QR codes to increase turnout.
CP for Tutors
It is now possible to get a second Schein for tutoring in a lecture.
Requirement for this is that the tutor will have additional responsibilities, which should be noted on the Schein.
This change applies to bachelors and masters students in the following degree programs:
Informatik
Cybersicherheit
DSAI
Embedded Systems
Entrepreneurial Cybersicherheit
Medieninformatik
Visual Computing
It does not apply to Bioinformatik, Mathematik und Informatik and Wirtschaftsinformatik.
Learning Platform
We got approached for the establishment of a shared document Hoster for our students.
The request came from a University Email and seems to be scoped towards UdS students.
Alex notes, that we had some (external) groups approach us previously.
He is open to allowing them to come by and talking about this,
Manuel thinks the current proposal seems a bit shallow but could be expanded on.
Semester Break
There will be a regular meeting next week, after that we return to our semi-weekly schedule.
We will continue to alternate, though the Week number rule will be broken.
Next meetings are:
- Wednesday February 5th
- Thursday February 20th
SIC Merch
Manuel and Alex talked to the SIC and FdSI about merchandising.
Responses were positive.
Felix set up a payment system.
We will do a Merch drop (Gathering Orders, then ordering in Bulk)
Manuel did a poll on Discord (It's in the announcements)
Options were:
- T-Shirts
- Polo Shirts
- Sweatpants
- Hoodies
- College Jackets
- Hats
- Other
We are looking forward to the results of the Poll.
Alex is happy how positive the response was throughout.
We would be involved in distributing the orders.
There is already some contact with manufacturers.
Nicholas asks if we get money.
We will not get money.
Nicholas suggests that we could get some samplers so that people can check their size.
We agree that this would be useful.
Manuel says that we want to have a good balance of price and quality.
We are interested in producing Merch that lasts.
Dishwasher
Daniel was in contact with mediamarkt to try and get them to match amazons price.
They were unable to confirm this over the phone, he will go there on Saturday.
Alex asks why we should buy it from mediamarkt.
If we don't get some extra warranty It does not seem worth it.
Manuel contacted Elektro Mayer and they would order an out of stock model for 1200€
He also sent some machines from Saturn, Alex and Ferdinand took a look at those and the models in stock were not german made ones, just "Made in Europe", which is the lower BSH quality class, opening some reliability concerns.
Nick asks if we tried asking elektro meyerfor a recommendation instead of asking them for a price on a specific option.
Nick also recommends their "0% leasing" a zero interest financing option with 5 years of service.
Alex is open, but this would require a new approval by the FIS board.
Bundestagswahl
Daniel wants to make a politically neutral poster reminding people of the deadline to register to vote by mail for the upcoming federal elections.
This is important for many of our students, because they may leave during the upcoming semester break.
There were no objections.
