Agenda
KIF
The KIF will take place at the end of the month. So far Mona and Julian expressed interest to attend. We do not think an official vote about it is necessary, as there is no discussion or conflict on who is going. If conflict arises, we will vote via email. We thank Julian and Mona for volunteering.
StEP
The StEP team gave us an update on the current planning status:
Master StEP: Most things is already planned and there already is a fixed schedule. We plan to have a tour of SULB. We might give out some goodie bags, as we think this shows appreciation. However we are not sure about their contents. The Master StEP team will coordinate with the Bachelor StEP people. We want to add a presentation about the examination boards.
International StEP: It is not entirely clear when the international bachelor students join the Master StEP and which topics are discussed only at the Bachelor StEP yet. Sophie, Vikram and Keerthana are discussing the planning this week.
Bachelor StEP: We still need some people for a Campus Tour. Anton V. and Julian already volunteered to help. The scheduling is not final yet, but it is going to be determined on Friday. Otherwise planning is looking good.
Like every event it is expected that the council members are willing to help the organising team out. Some student council members think that needs to be more clearly communicated the next time we determine the task forces. Also we need to have more people in the International StEP as it was often unclear how exactly it is planned.
Pupil Information Day
The university is planning some kind of University Open Day for German High School students only on 15th of November. It is mandatory for the pupils to attend. The CS department is looking for 5-10 university students to help out with construction, deconstruction and at their information point. The day is going to start at 07:30am and will end ~01:30pm. Apparently the helpers will get paid, but it is not entirely clear how much and how the payment is conducted. We will ask the organisers on how this works and what the department plans to present.
