Announcement Channel for voluntary members for internal topics

Manu shares that when he was a moderator, the hedgedoc used to be half maintained.
Given this, he had some concerns about making a new channel for announcing.


But now, this is okay if the hedgedoc is well maintained.


Standards on what meeting topic should be announced publicly

Manu shares that sometimes sharing internal information about private topics is difficult. It can't be communicated on the public FSR channel, but informing just a single member and then having it forwarded is tiresome. So, how do we deal with this?

Daniel shares that the public group does have a lot of people on there that won't have inputs on the topics or that can't be shared with them.

Harry says that if a voluntary member wants to make a comment on a topic, then they could do it by eediting the hedgedoc. The hedgedoc is being maintained regularly this time, and members do check them for info about the topics. Leaving layers of comments is messy, but it does help. Daniel suggests that we can also include the link to the hedgedoc for more access.

Manuel is gonna try and keep an open mind about this approach and will see how things go henceforth.

Daniel raises concerns that if discussions will happen on the hedgedoc itself, then what are the meetings for?


Congrats, you were born - Yağmur wants to put it up on a fridge

There were plans to collate the birthdays of all the members and put it in the council room. Daniel says that this is sensitive data and should be handled carefully.

Yağmur has asked that people message her with their birthdays.


Next FSR group picture - say “CHEEEEEEESEE”

We have been discussing this often but its time to actually pick a date for this. A dudle needs to be made to get a good date.

The picture can have voluntary and elected members both.
