Agenda

Heatwave Measures

Currently
we are still suffering under the sun in and in the shades with degrees
around 30 even inside rooms.

Op:
If the degrees reach >30° the UdS should provide heat measurements
especially regarding different temperatures during exam time slots and
fairness. The temperature will also not get better but worse. The
current AC'd rooms are already at max capacity.

Op:
We do not know if there will be a heatwave during August yet, but it is a
good idea to ask the uni and examination office for their current plan
to adjust with the temperature. It could also be hard to make uni
install ACs since there could be an internal prio list.

The current plan from UdS Work-safety :
- professor should move rooms ...
- ... or hold lectures earlier
- The uni provides a framework that they encourage "your boss" to
provide water
- Temperatures under 35 is not considered heat

All of this does not answer the problem with exams.

Most lecture rooms are AC'd.

Mini tests are hold in tutorials which are most of the time in non AC'd
rooms.

We should write a document that states:
- AC in AC'd rooms need to be checked during exams that they are actual
running
- Mini tests during tutorials should also fulfill the temp req

We will inform students about the room booking website with the focus of
going there for AC'd rooms when they are empty. Via Discord and
posters.

Abi-Was-Dann Fair

There is this fair for pupils doing their A-levels *soon-or-something where
they can inform themselves about future job/higher education
possibilities.

The Study Coordination asked us whether we want to be present at the
cs-maths booth.

Date is 29-30 September.

We vibe checked (in the current council) who will deferential have time to help:
0

So we should do a public shout out for this.

SIC T-Shirts Distribution

The SIC sold t-shirts and some orders have not been picked up. There are
SIC t-shirts left. The SIC asks us if we can distribute them (20 in
number). Meaning they come to us, we scan the QR code and they get a
t-shirt.

Op: We raised the question why the SIC could not just to this themself,
the people that missed the deadlines for pick up could also just email
SIC to pick up.

We voted: If we help SIC with their t-shirt problem:
Yes: 3
No: 2
Abst: 2

We will help SIC and write them.

Cake

The cleaning stuff was really happy that some of us clean up theirs and
others trash (we hold an internal cleaning event once a semester for our rooms).

They promised cake if we keep the room clean.

Reminder to not trash.

In order to help keep our room clean we decided to deploy the
methodology of yelling at people including demanding money and public
humiliation.

The money will be used during the cleaning day to compensate the ones
cleaning.

Cleaning day aftermath

There were things put out for free that were expensive.

Next time put dubious things of the unknown into a box first.
