Agenda
Relevo Stack
Since recently we have a centralized Relevo Stack that is supposed to make Relevo returns easier for council members. However Nils brought up that sometimes dirty Relevos are part of this stack and this isn't too nice.
For the future everyone using the Stack should adhere to the two rules:
1. Please out the Relevos in the dishwasher before pushing them to the stack
2. If you ever push to the stack, you are also responsible to pop it at some point
Alex has put up a sign that clearly states these rules.
Voluntary Members
Welcome to Anton for becoming a voluntary member.
Appointment Committees
We have two Appointment Committees for Machine Learning Professorships.
We need two student representatives for this.
Lisa and Anton volunteered to become the representatives for this committee.
Breakfast / Ice Cream
As discussed previously, we will probably not host a traditional breakfast for June but rather just distribute some ice cream on campus.
We discussed the options and will just distribute various ice creams from the council room and maybe one other location if we find the means to have cooling somewhere else.
We will do this probably on 28th of June.
Sommerfest
The Sommerfest is coming up in roughly three and a half weeks. Lukas gave a brief update on the current status. Generally the planning is going well.
The drinks are being organized by the Math Council while we handle the food related stuff.
We are also collecting ideas for side events such as a beer pong tournament or music during the event. If you have any suggestions or ideas for stuff you want there, feel free to contact Lukas or Sophie to suggest some ideas.
FSK
Lukas went to the FSK last week and gave us a brief overview of the most important topics.
Among other topics we also discussed the question of the budgeting plan not being publicly available. We have discussed this in the FSK and we were assured that the budgeting plan will be made available through the FSK group.
Ausschreibung "LernRaumGestaltung"
Prof. Lambert approached us during the Next about a new project that the University is launching.
In this project we can propose new ideas for student learning rooms. The winning idea will be financed.
Alex suggested we consider taking part in this project as it can improve the overall study situation. However the deadline is already at June 22nd.
If anyone has suggestions what could improve the rooms feel free to contact Alex (rogovskyy@cs.fs.uni-saarland.de) so we can make a unified submission to this.
NEXT
The NEXT job fair was last week and generally was really successful.
However, there were some hiccups in the organization and communication with KWT. The NEXT team will set up a meeting with the responsible persons from KWT to discuss what went good and what didn't.
We want to thank everyone who helped during setup, organization and tear down of the event.
A big thanks also goes to the THW who were a great help during tear down.
