Agenda

KIF

We are going to send multiple people to KIF next month. The AStA canonically covers the expenses of two people, which we need to officially nominate two weeks before the event. The only elected people who registered are Kevin and Mona. We voted on that (8 in favour, 3 abstaining, 0 against).

FSR Infrastructure

We want to introduce a task organiser tool for accountability reasons. We will try out Notion short- and middle-term. Long-Term there are plans to introduce assigning tasks into the new Minutetaker.
In general the people think that's a good idea, however there are concerns about limits of the Software, e.g. only limited amount of people can be logged in the free version. In general we have access to all the tools, however they are split among different website.
An alternative would be to use some microsoft-tool the university already provides or "anytype" we could host by ourselves.
However Notion has a mobile app, which would be really useful for the accountability.

Pub Crawl

We want to offer a Pub Crawl again. Sophie and David want to host it again, but due to illness the last one was quite some time ago. We want to only for first- and second semesters. As usual, we plan to split the big group into smaller ones so it is bearable for the Pubs. The limiting factor however are the Bars, not the amount of helpers. The current planned date is 30th of April. Despite being a Tuesday, the day afterwards is a public holiday.

Game Night Report

There was a Game Night last Friday, at the Peak we had 75people. Organisation-wise went pretty well, despite one organisational hiccup, where the building security was not aware that we had rented the rooms.

StEP Report

Last Week there was the StEP. There were around 120people in total, 15 of which were for the bachelors. The organisation was rather chaotic, because of the general reorganisation into blocks and not a strict split between Bachelor and Master. There was a big room hiccup, which was probably not our fault.
There was not much feedback by the bachelor people in general, so it is hard to tell the reception of the changes (e.g. some talks now in English).

Games&Book Cleanout

We own many old books and games, many of which are not really used anymore. We will tidy them out during the next weeks. We will put them up for people to take them if you are interested. All that is then left over will be put to some use (e.g. donation to library, give them to other student council).
There is strong support for getting some new games to replace the old ones.

Breakfast

There is a Breakfast coming up next Tuesday starting at 09:30. Felix plans to take some Photos, but if you don't want to be on them, we can arrange them. We will offer tomato soup.

Council Member Credits

Mahdi, a previous council member asked us whether he could get Credits for his work. In 2020, 2021 and 2022 he was organising the Master StEP, NEXT, was doing Social Media

Social Media

Lizzie wants to boost our social media engagement to make a office takeover week. The idea is that people "take over" the social media channel and give insights into their day. The students can thus get to know the student council members better.
We think that is a great idea, however there are not so many people of us who want to actually do it. We will ask around, e.g. former and voluntary members for another perspective. So far there are Abi, Lizzie, Felix, Manuel, (Lukas). We will organise something internally. We plan to start the upcoming Monday, if the organisation works out. Maybe we could ask the AStA to boost us further by give us a shout-out on their channel.

Summer BBQ

The Summer BBQ will take place on July 4th. In the last few weeks we organised some things with the department and the fire safety officer of University. The might be potentially a Sponsor.

Gruppenurwahlen

There are currently some general elections going on. You can be elected for the university senate and the faculty council. For us relevant is the faculty council, usually we put a joint list with the Maths student council. Mona and Manuel volunteered for the faculty council. Lukas and Alex are also thinking about running for the faculty council as academic staffs.
For the senate we need to put at least as many people as spots are available, which is for us rather hard to meet as we don't have enough volunteers.
