Agenda

It’s time to review the Breakfast

There were extra pickles and vegans stuff that got overlooked in the fridge, so this has to be checked better. They will be used for the next breakfast, since the exasperation date is still far in the future.

We also ran out of bread rolls earlier then expected, so the amount should be increased.

More visiblity for UdS politics

From the Notes:

Make UdS student politics more visible

What politics?

StuPa Protocols
StuPa News (if not covered in protocols or urgent)
AStA Protocols
AStA News (if not covered in protocols or urgent)

Why?
A lot of students do not know what AStA or StuPa does and think one/both are useless/a farce. But also very vew students vote or go to Generalversammlung. Instead of complaining that they are adults and should look up things themself, why not help them to keep track of those things? Making the politics more visible or just remind that they exist might redirect anger and frustration where it actually changes things. It also indirectly pushes CS involvement in StuPa on the long run, which benefits CS students (-> relevancy for CS FSR)

How?
a) Add an area on the pinboard called “Student Politics”, where protocols and relevant news are hung up.

b) When there is a new protocol from Asta meeting or StuPa, put up a customer stopper with the printed protocol in the E1.1 Hallway for a day or two. (Asta meetings happen every 2 months and StuPa every month, so this will not be too intrusive)

Translation
Both protocols are in German. Thankfully there is an easy way to translate, with only poof reading work. BUT those translations will not be made official or put online (the will be marked unofficial), since contacting StuPa people every time for approval, sounds like big unhappy time.

(Most important) Who would do this?
Daniel would this.

When will this be done?
He would start regularly taking care of it directly after the meeting.

Comment via notes: I do not oppose this idea, even though I don’t think it would be our job to help AStA/StuPA to become more visible. They should spend their own time and resources to improve that. However, this is no reason to stop someone who is motivated to do it on their own behalf anyways.

One opinion regarding this: While we are not responsible for other student bodies work, we are in the same network and it is common to advertise each other inside the network. Also it would be asking a lot from AStA to go to EVERY FSR every time and put up protocols in the standard of the corresponding FSR, we could help them a bit.

Another opinion: The posts should be separated from the CS FSR, so no CS logo and we should make clear that those are different student bodies politics/opinions.

We voted if we use two A4s on the pin-board and the customer stopper to advertise the StuPa and AStA info while distancing us from the content:

Offer for seminars of the student accreditation pool

What is the Student Accreditation Pool?

The Student Accreditation Pool is the nationally legitimized student interest group that delegates students as experts in the accreditation system and promotes their participation. Student representatives have the task of questioning and evaluating the quality of degree programs as part of an assessment.
What is accreditation?

Almost every Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program in Germany is subject to accreditation. Every eight years, a degree program must undergo the accreditation process, in which external experts assess the quality of the degree program. They receive a self-evaluation report and other documents from the university as a basis for their assessment. In addition, an on-site visit takes place with discussions with program managers, students and other university members. The aim is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the degree program in a joint assessment and to identify areas for improvement. In the seminar, we will provide you with all the information you need to become active as student experts in the accreditation process and to make a contribution to this process.

When are the next program accreditation seminars?

04.07. - 06.07.2025
18.07. - 20.07.2025
01.08. - 03.08.2025
22.08. - 24.08.2025
05.09. - 07.09.2025

GDG hackathon - we have more details

We heard back from them and they want our social media to make publicity and future students events. They also would like our sponsor connection for their event. The offer prices in the hackaton and are looking for help from the CS council.

It was talked about the helping out during event part:
If people decide on their own to help, they are free to do this.

It was said that it is ok tho advertise their events. Using our connection with our sponsors to help sponsor their event is not a thing to do.

One opinion was that, If we do this for GDG, then soon other groups would also contact us to do this for them and our social media would involve more info about other events rather than our own-

Another opinion: It would benefit the Insta algorithm to post more, but on the condition, that we are not already posting a lot during that time. Since it is related to students interests that there is a CS event.

We voted if we help them advertise this hackaton through social media:
Yes: 6
No: 0
Abst: 3

-> Yes

We voted if we help them advertise this hackaton through posters (frames not pin board):
Yes: 1

We voted if we share our sponsor connection:

Interview with Quality Office

They ask for one representative to talk about "stuff", probably quality mng things.

Someone from CS FSR has an appointment with them early July.

Kevin appreciation

Kevin added some cool monitors with some self coded software/UI to the council room that show:
room booking, mensa meals, bus connections, printer info (so we know about empty paper, before people come to us), even temperatures of different rooms.

We think that is very cool and helpful, and are very grateful :)
