Agenda
Students Council Elections
----INTRO-----
The elections are running. We consider additionally informing the students about these elections in any capacity. (Instagram, Discord, Website, Mailing List, Kundenstopper, Raiding Lectures, Guerrilla Marketing in SaarVV Busses…)
---DISCUSSION---
We put up Posters & posted it in the telegram group
Proposal: Someone of the council should annouce it in a lecture
Normally only 15% of the students vote (generally 14% university-wide), please help us to increase those numbers. Last Year we already did social media promotion, posters and annoucements, which was effective.
Proposal: Promotion Booth -> No student council member has time right now.
Proposal: Write an email to David Wagner that they send mails to the students able to vote for us such that they are informed about the votings.
---CONCLUSION---
We will go to the lectures & write the mail.
All our Social Media Channels will be used.
Students walk around eyes closed
---INTRO---
Many students are asking “there is a social event?”, why?
We are trying to find out how to let students know that there is an event.
Alternatively, if there are ideas to make the other platforms more appealing.
---DISCUSSION---
Proposals:
- Announce the mailing list at the social events such that spontanously joining people can register to it.
- Doing booths to distribute the informations further.
- Flyer for new students with basic information (spread them in the tutorials)
-> Distibute in working rooms about the events -> Calendar, Mailing Links, Council Website
- Posters in the working rooms (students will see it if they prokrastinate)
- Whatsapp Group
---CONCLUSION---
We will try out the proposals.
Rental Contracts
---INTRO---
We did brainstorm some ideas for the rentals and concluded, that the rental task force will consider them and come up with some formulated text, which we then vote on.
So this topic is about said vote.
---DISCUSSION---
We did not recieve the text.
---CONCLUSION---
Someone is taking over the job.
Coffee Machine
---INTRO---
The coffee machine is broken, even though we had a discussion about it more than a year ago about replacing it. We discussed AGAIN if we want a new one.
---DISCUSSION---
A new coffee machine should bring value to a larger part of our students, which FIS does not think is the case, since coffee people are not the majority.
But it could be a nice idea for those who are coffee people.
FIS says check prices and send them to FIS.
Currently a new coffee machine is not in the finance plan.
We will look up the old discussion.
---CONCLUSION---
Interest towards this topic is split to coffee people und non-coffee people.
Someone will check for prices & old discussions about that topic, making a presentation about it in the next meeting.
